The CAN-DIO8 module has 8 digital inputs and 8 digital outputs. Both the inputs and the outputs
are galvanically isolated from the rest of the circuit. They each have a common ground. The inputs
are designed for 24V signals and can also be used as counters, the sampling frequency is 50Hz.
The outputs switch 24V/0.4A, are short-circuit-proof and suitable for switching inductive loads.
The outputs have a PWM functionality, the minimum pulse length is 20ms.
The CAN bus can be operated with baud rates up to 1MBaud. There are 3 options available for
communication with the CAN-DIO8 module: On the one hand a simple CAN protocol, on the other hand
a CANopen® slave implementation, alternatively a
DeviceNet® slave.
