The CAN-AI8-16 module provides 8 differential analog inputs. The resolution is 16..24 Bit.
The input voltage ranges from 0..5V, ±5V, 0..10V, ±10V to 0..20mA. Each 2 inputs
can be converted in parallel.
Instead of transmitting the current measured values, the module can be parameterized so that it
automatically calculates mean values. The measured values can be sent cyclically. This relieves the
load on the master system and allows it to perform other tasks.
The CAN bus can be operated with baud rates up to 1MBaud. There are 3 options available for
communication with the CAN-AI8-16 module: On the one hand a simple CAN protocol, on the other hand
a CANopen® slave implementation, alternatively a
DeviceNet® slave.
